Vintage 1970s monumental square coffee table with glass covered cane tops. The obtuse profile of this monumental coffee table speaks directly to the Nineteen-Laties aesthetic. Fly speck finish adorns the oak wood surface. A single band of solid oak molding wraps around the table at center adding to the visual appeal. The real magic is the top view! Here you can see the caned top, still with rich coloring. The caned field is embellished with an asymmetric grid pattern. The caning has been beautifully preserved under this patchwork of glass. Glass both protects the caning and provides an easy to maintain table top surface. Simply wipe away spills and drips. No need to worry about polishing the table top. Windex will do just fine!
